When this lovely young lady’s mother reached out to me; she wanted something laid back for her daughter. Grandma has been begging for some updated photos and I was only too happy to help! I had a good time getting to know this unique soul and I could see a lot of myself as a young teenager in her. It’s always my goal to try and represent each person I photograph as themselves; and not as any idea of what they should be. They also brought along their new pup who added some laughter to the session. She almost got away from us at one point! But, being the experience animal wrangler that I am – I caught her. 🙂
We started our session downtown in Deep Ellum to capture some of the colors and textures you find down there. After that, we headed over to White Rock Lake to get something a little more natural and green. The light was supremely gorgeous (go, go Texas skies!) and it was still plush and green with pretty beds of clover.
