I think the best family portraits are the most honest ones. My Mother is crying about something (probably, like many children, being told to stand there and be pleasant), and the Texas wind is obviously blowing. The dog stands randomly in the foreground. Real life. (My grandfather, my Granny, my Aunt Karen (in his arms) and my Mother.)
