Better than dogs…

Okay, okay. Maybe as good AS dogs. 🙂

I have a confession to make. Hold onto your seats. This is probably a weird one for most people. I love, adore and just totally melt around… GOATS! Yes! I love goats… and I am not ashamed to admit it.

But, at least there is a good reason. As a kid growing up, we lived a large portion of the time on a farm and we raised goats for years. So, when we went to the State Fair, we went to the petting zoo area and the little pen full of goats and myself and my “manly” brother both got all melty!

So, while I should be in bed, sleeping for a big test tomorrow, instead I am going to post a blog post about goats. 🙂

(And on a technical note.. these really are pretty much straight out of the camera. I will gladly adjust white balance for humans, and less so for goats. They can hold their own. :P)

This little one was just trying to get some zzz’s. Love their crazy ears.

Playing king of the mountain.

I’m gonna get you!

I sooo wanted to stick this one in my bag and take him home. SO CUTE!!!

Totally chillin’.

This goat was obsessed with my brother. She kept licking his arm (I guess he’s salty) and following him when he moved.

Yeah, my brother is popular with the (goat) ladies. 😛

The only thing cuter than baby animals is sleeping baby animals, right?

Hehe.

I wish I was half that flexible. They look so blissful.

Okay… That’s all the goats for now. I’ll make a post with the rest of the fair stuff later on. I just couldn’t narrow down to one or two goat pictures!

OMG, I love goats too! Andy and I found a park with a working farm this summer and we hung out with the goats forever, he couldn’t pry me away. There was this one, called a boer goat, that was SO awesome. He had this slightly crooked face and he was the biggest one, and he was slightly scary looking, especially since he was the only in a pen by himself. I went up and timidly petted him and he was like a golden retriever, he LOVED me. He was my goat the rest of the afternoon, I fawned all over him, and came back to the goat barn twice. I lost the lens cap to my macro, so I went back *again* and there were people in there, talking about how they were scared of him, and when he saw me, he ran over and was all in my face being all lovey and the onlookers thought I worked there or something.

Man, I miss my goat, I have go go back! Andy took the most awesome picture of him, he really needs to get it on flickr.

…I just checked, he doesn’t have it on there, but he did post another one that he thinks looks like Zack Arias. LOL.
